Diane Lines

Diane Lines is the UGC's much loved accompanist, arranger, and band leader. Diane received her musical education at the Banff School of Fine Arts, the Humber School of Creative and Performing Arts in Toronto, and at the Cleo Laine-John Dankworth's Wavendon Music School in England. Among her numerous professional engagements, Diane was the pianist for Grammy winner Michael Buble for two years and has recorded and toured with Juno Award winner Gary Fjellgaard. She has also toured throughout the United States with the Hollywood Hills/Henry Mancini Alumni Orchestra. Now based in Vancouver, Diane is frequently seen playing keyboards and singing with Canada's 'King of Swing' Dal Richards and his Orchestra.

Diane began working with the Universal Gospel Choir in 2000 and accompanied the choir on their successful concert tour of Cuba in 2005. Diane, along with seasoned musicians Rob Ferguson on drums and Rene Wurst on bass, provides the rhythmic and harmonic foundation for the UGC. Although Diane plays a variety of musical styles, she is most inspired by her work with the choir, which she says is the music that can make a difference. www.dianelines.com
