25th Anniversary Special Events |
In 2010, the UGC celebrates 25 years of sharing the universal joy, love and compassion that infuses the world's rich spiritual and social consciousness musical traditions. In January we were joined by the One Human Family Choir for a wonderful workshop with Eric Dozier that was also a reunion for UGC alumni. In June our Anniversary Concerts rocked Canadian Memorial Church with the combined power of the UGC and the No Sh!t Shirleys, many of whom are alumni of the choir. These concerts also marked the release of our 25th Anniversary CD, One Voice. At both concerts alumni in the audience joined us and the Shirleys for the last song, I Hear Music, an appropriate finale for this auspicious season.

Our new CD is a culmination of the UGC's 25th years of community and music making that continues to inspire, uplift, and transform audiences. Be the first to buy the CD here! |

Like many BC arts organizations, the UGC's application for a Direct Access Gaming grant was turned down this year. In response we have embarked on a fund-raising drive of our own, so that we can meet our commitments to organizations who benefit from our Outreach Program (for details click Support Us). With your help we will definitely "pay it forward" and multiply the benefits of your donation in the local and global community. Heartfelt thanks to you, in anticipation of your consideration and any support you feel you can lend. |
